From an ordinary family in Kunming to a planning system that can be replicated

Born in Kunming in 1993 to parents who worked ordinary jobs in the public sector. His mother was what you might call a "budget version of a Haidian parent" — he could read over a thousand characters before primary school, she borrowed 40,000 yuan to place him in the best public primary school in the city, and he stayed with piano all the way to Grade 10. He held up his end too: first prize in the city chemistry competition in 2009, then first prize in the National High School Mathematics League in 2010 — the first arts student ever to win it.

Before the exam he had already been admitted to Peking University's Yuanpei College through its early recommendation scheme. He turned it down — he wanted to study business, and a place at the Guanghua School of Management was not on the table. In June 2011 he sat the exam, finished first in the province in the liberal arts, and went to the University of Hong Kong on a full HK$500,000 scholarship to read IBGM. The programme admits fewer than 30 students a year; almost every mainland student in it is a provincial top scorer.

Behind the record there is a regret he keeps returning to: his mother saved for decades and set aside a million yuan for his education, yet never really enjoyed a life of her own — and his English began from zero in Grade 3, ground out over three years of rote memorisation, with little method and no plan at all. That convinced him of something: Chinese families do not lack attention, effort, resources or money. What they lack is planning awareness, systematic information, and the ability to judge signal from noise.

Around the time of the "double reduction" reforms he worked one-to-one with more than 5,000 families and built bespoke plans for over 200 of them. From 2022 he turned the method into a product: the curriculum has been iterated from version 1.0 to 6.0, covers five modules, and is delivered by a team of top scorers and planners from leading Chinese and overseas universities. Families across all 34 provincial-level regions of China have taken part.

Programs

Two steps: awaken, then implement

The 3-Day Essential Course answers "do I need to plan at all?" The Education Planning Camp answers "how do I actually do it?" They form a sequence — not a lite version and a full version.

How the Camp works

Three layers that turn knowing into doing

01

Learn — recorded system courses

The 30-hour curriculum plus the Blue Book and age-based handbooks deliver the universal rules: subject pacing, how to avoid talent-development traps, and the pathway framework. Rewatch any time, with free lifetime updates.

02

Locate — professional assessments

Six assessments using original items from international and domestic institutions (the Lexile test uses official US items) answer "where is my child actually right now?" — so planning stops relying on gut feeling.

03

Implement — human support

Six weeks of age-grouped companion communities plus a one-to-one phone diagnosis adapt the framework to your family's situation — the step most providers cannot scale.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the CNY 199 Essential Course just a cut-down version of the CNY 3,980 Camp?

No. They serve different purposes in a sequence. The Essential Course settles "whether and what to plan" — judgement at the framework level. The Camp settles "how to actually do it" — 30+ hours of system courses plus assessments and one-to-one support. Judging the Camp by the information density of the Essential Course is a mismatched yardstick.

Who is the Planning Camp for?

Parents of children aged 0–18 who want a complete, systematic map — especially families who feel information-disadvantaged: ordinary working families navigating school choice, extracurriculars and admission routes without an insider's view.

Will a planner do all of the planning for my child?

The goal is the opposite: to make you able to decide independently. The recorded courses handle "knowing", the assessments handle "locating", and the one-to-one diagnosis plus companion groups handle "doing". If you are looking for a full-service proxy, this design may not match that expectation.

How soon can we start after paying?

Recorded courses are activated within 1 business day of payment. Live classes run to a published schedule, announced by SMS and email before the start date. Printed materials are dispatched within 5 business days.

Do future course upgrades cost extra?

No. Camp groups never disband, and upgrades are free for existing members. The curriculum has been iterated from version 1.0 in 2022 to 6.0 today, and members of the 2022 first cohort are still studying the latest version in their group.

How do I contact support?

By email at director@aliu-edu.com, by telephone on +852 5420 1742, through our WeChat or WhatsApp live chat, or through the Contact Us page. Messages received during business hours are answered the same day.
